Join Philadelphia Public Relations Association Foundation (PPRAF) and Multicultural Media Professionals Week for an EXCLUSIVE screening of the new film, "The Woman King," starring Viola Davis. This special event brings together an audience focused on diversity, equity and inclusion in film and will help raise funds to support ongoing professional development/DEI education in our region. The Woman King is the remarkable story of the Agojie, the all-female unit of warriors who protected the African Kingdom of Dahomey in the 1800s with skills and a fierceness unlike anything the world has ever seen. Inspired by true events, The Woman King follows the emotionally epic journey of General Nanisca (Viola Davis) as she trains the next generation of recruits and readies them for battle against an enemy determined to destroy their way of life. Some things are worth fighting for. Screening begins at 8:30 pm on 9/9. Ticket includes entry to movie as well as to-be-announced items. Creating an alliance of partnerships both locally and regionally.
