Press Helper Reports to: Press Manager Job Summary: Under the supervision of section leaders, operators, and ink person. Responsible for assisting with press operations, and ink room operations. Essential Functions: • Follow the directions of supervisors and operators. • Responsible for getting the film, cylinders, and inks necessary to run a press. Also responsible for returning cylinders and the balance of film and ink to the correct location after a job is finished. • Assist in ink room as needed. • Assist operator with set up, operation, maintenance, and repair of press. Clean printing plates during and immediately after press run. • Keep area around press clean. • Check print quality throughout shift. • Learn as much as possible about press operations. • Work safely. Additional Responsibilities: • Provide help in other in other parts of the factory if needed. • Work overtime required to meet department needs. • Responsible for reporting any food safety issues • Responsible for complying with all GMP's Experience Required: • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. • Must be skilled in reading a tape measure and using a calculator • Ability to work with others. • Knowledge of basic math and measurements. • Ability to learn quickly.
