Soul Art Creative Retreat:A Gathering for Fall Pruning and Growth

This retreat is designed to reconnect you to your inner world through creative and connective activities. On Saturday, we will start with a connection activity to bond as a group. With light yoga, aromatherapy, and visulaization we will connect to our deeper selves. Using paint and collage, we will create a personalized set of Truth Cards (see image below) to remind us of all the love messages we long to hear. I will provide all art materials. You will provide black and white photos of yourself printed on simple computer paper. These photos can be of your choosing, and approximately 2x3" in size. You may want to bring washi tape or stickers of your choice. Throughout the day, a Burn Bucket will be in place to toss thoughts and feelings we are ready to release. We are pruning for growth, fitting of the season! After our creative session, we will enjoy a Mexican Dinner with Days of the Dead decor and have a chance to get to know each other. I will have connection activities to make this fun and light, and real. Boring small talk can be another day! After dinner, we will enjoy a bonfire and toss in our Burn Bucket items and watch them go up in smoke. We will think about what new things we will grow in that wide open space we just made. We will break at that time, and you can return home or to accomodations you have made for the night. On Sunday, we will remember what we wanted to call into our lives, in the space we made from pruning out the old. We will create a focus word to remind us. Using art materials and collage, we will decorate a Soul Flame Candle. Then you have an anchor to remind you that you are a growing soul. We will conclude with a three sentence story about our weekend together and share in circle. You will leave feeling more in tune with your inner wisdom and a vision moving forward into the autum season. You will have your Truth Cards to remind you of your real self on hard days. And you will leave with your own Soul Flame to shine on your path forward. You deserve this time to reset and restore.
