The San Diego Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) is sponsoring its annual Girls in Aviation Day, Saturday, September 24, 2022. From 11am to 5pm what promises to be a special day for all San Diego youth interested in the field of aviation is slated to be filled with activities and a backstage look at the workings of a private airport. Activities will be geared toward youth ages 7 to 17. Since the very first Women in Aviation International Girls in Aviation Day in 2015, the annual WAI event has grown every year since its first gathering of 32 events and 3,200 participants. In 2019, GIAD met more than 20,000 attendees participating in 119 events in 18 countries.  A lunch and snacks will be provided to participants, however, if you or your child have sensitivities, allergies or dietary specific needs, we ask that you prepare and provide adequately for your specific dietary restrictions.
