Description
October 2022 will mark the 100th anniversary of TS Eliot's poem "The Waste Land" - if you know, you know.
It's a very weird poem and very beautiful. Also about how the world is all messed up and all you have is the ability to love to save you. I teach literature at San Francisco State University and I've been a fan of this poem for thirty years. During the lockdown I made a soundtrack: https://wakamewidgetfactory.bandcamp.com/album/the-waste-land-original-score
I'm looking for musicians of all types to perform a live score for the poem at a series of performances in October. I don't want to recreate what I've done there, but I think it's a good starting point.
The logistics of composition and rehearsal can be worked out when we have a sense of how much interest there is.
Thanks for clicking the on my ad, go read Eliot's poem here:
