This film has been a "Community first" project from its inception in 2012 to its completion this year. The added footage has transformed the 49 minute "Festival Cut" into a complete feature film experience running one hour.
CAN WE ALL GET ALONG? THE SEGREGATION OF JOHN MUIR HIGH SCHOOL was honored with accolades as an official selection of New York’s New Filmmakers Festival, a Semi-Finalist in the DUMBO Film Festival, a nomination for Best Documentary Short by the Burbank International Film Festival and additional honors from the Telly Awards, the IndieFest Film Awards, Accolade Global Film Competition, the Toronto Lift-Off Film Festival and more.
There is no cost for admission, but tax-deductible donations are welcome with 50% going to the renovation of the John Muir HS Alumni Museum. The museum will be open following the event.
