Description

At one time there were so many horses in the cemetery people had to have an admission ticket. Too many visitors could spook the horses! Join us on Community Day on Saturday, September 17, for a unique way to experience the Historic Easton Cemetery. We invited Saucon Valley Carriage to bring their wagonette offering attendees an alternative Cemetery sightseeing experience. Your guide will provide historic fun facts, point out unique monuments and insight into some of our notable permanent residents. Advanced tickets are suggested due to limited availability and to avoid potentially long wait times. Groups are limited to 6 passengers at a time. Allow 30 minutes. Tours are currently offfered every half hour between 11:00 am - 3:00 pm (last tour at 2:30 pm). All ages permitted. $10 per person. The Historic Easton Cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The cemetery is noted for its design, architecture, landscaping and funerary art. Fundraiser: A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Historic Easton Cemetery for furthering our educational programming. Tickets: Paper tickets or bar codes are not required. Attendees will be checked in by name.Where To Meet: Tours begin and end at the Main Chapel inside the N. 7th St. entrance.Parking: On Community Day parking is not permitted inside the cemetery. Please plan ahead for street parking. We will guard your bike if you ride there. Refund and Exchanges: Ticket sales are final. No exchanges or refunds unless the ride is canceled.
