Almost every guitar player on the planet wants to play Blues Rock, because its all about guitar solos! 1-4-5 solo, 1-4-5 solo...etc...Why do you think there are so many Blues Jams out there?? Because virtually every wannabe guitar star can only play one style. Blues rock. 1-4-5 solo! Try going to a blues jam and suggesting a song of a different style, an they will look at you like you have two heads! "What?!?! A POLICE SONG?? No way! There's no guitar solo in a Police song!" Translation: "None of us can play syncopated licks or grooves. Especially the drummer! If its not a straight 4/4 beat, he can't play it..." OK guys....Shuffle in E! Woohoo! Get ready for a ten minute guitar solo!
