Pay For Body Man At Malone's Collision Repair getting customers back on the road is what drives us. We’re looking for a Collision Body Technician or Auto Body Technician to join our team. As a Collision Body Technician, you’ll perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Your attention to detail make you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time, and deliver top-notch work to delight our customers. Pay is based off of experience. What are the daily job responsibilities? Performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy. Communicating with Estimators and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts. Assessing vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed. Performing all body repairs according to estimate. Performing welding, soldering, body alignment, and frame/unibody repairs. Operating all equipment in the Collision Center in a safe and productive manner, following AutoNation’s Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) while working on the production floor. Inspecting all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed. Mixing all chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications. Understanding and following federal, state, and local regulations that affect Collision Center operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA guidelines, etc. Gaining superior product knowledge to provide high quality repairs. What are the requirements for the Collision Body Technician? ICAR certification (preferred) or interest to become certified. OEM certification (preferred) or interest to become certified. At least two years’ automotive experience. Must have a valid, in-state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record. Ability to operate an automobile. Attention to detail is a must! This is an immediate permanent full time position with an established and growing shop. Here’s what you’ll be doing: Checking in vehicle. Marking damage that is not related to the loss as well as damage that is. Responsible for working hand in hand with the estimator to ensure accuracy when marking the related damages. Responsible for documenting photos as well as other information of vehicle onto CCC APP. Wash vehicle exteriors using cleaning solution, water, cloths and brushes Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices. Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris using a vacuum cleaner Apply revitalizer and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components Apply special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of product manufacturer Clean engine and engine compartment with steam cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime Other duties as assigned Here’s what you’ll need: Must be 18 years or older and be authorized to work in the U.S Valid in-state driver's license Ability to read and comprehend job related instructions and information Excellent manual dexterity skills as well as patience and an eye for detail Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role We are an Equal Opportunity Employer Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime
