Hey I'm Damian. I've been starting and running a few local weekly meetups for the better part of Summer, just trying to get them in a sustainable state, and now I'm working on spreading the word a little more. Everything is on meetup, and always free. The only real catch is me trying to find others to join... which I then leverage as social guilt... to grow as an artist. And it seems to be working for others as well. Plus at least for photography, I need to find stuff that is, in fact independently, awesome. Or just places that don't currently have rules against doing awesome things. Hello west-side photography bowling alley/pinball arcade, tomorrow night :) Anyway, we're at the point where they all run pretty smooth... and the Catholic School kid in me just. can't. have. that. now. Can he? Seriously go read one of those descriptions... they do a pretty good job of driving off all the maybes out there. Anyway That's my thing this Summer. Just a simple guy, out here trying to build a more meaningful life, after the whole great introspection. And I'm looking for other people who feel the same way... to get together and help foster a local community for more and awesomer shit. All events are free, or as free as I can get them, local, chill, and pretty damn fun. It's all flow-state stuff honestly. Just in different packaging, and with good people.
