We are an open-party and private charter Sportfishing boat out of Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego, CA. We are looking for experienced operators and seconds with a 50 or 100 Ton license. We also have spots available for relief deckhands and galley cooks. The Operators position will start as second and move up with the approval of the owner. This is the night watch shift and duties include: night driving, sonar fishing, engine room checks, managing crew, helping passengers rig gear, hook and land fish, clean up, etc. Deckhand duties include: rigging up gear, assisting passengers in hook ups/catching fish, loading the bait tank, engine room checks, maintenance, clean up, customer service, and more. Galley duties include: cooking breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner dependent on trip length, for 30 passengers plus crew. Primary meals include breakfast burritos and burgers. The cook is responsible for stocking, cleaning, customer service, and when it is busy, bleeding and bagging fish. If you know how to rig gear that is a plus! Our trips vary in length from overnight - 3 days and we are currently on the schedule everyday until November. This is a fast-paced, hard working customer service industry and the ideal candidate must have: * Fishing experience, know how to tie basic knots – uni-uni and San Diego Jam knot. Preferred but not required to have fileting skills. * Boating experience- expected to maintain the cleanliness of boat and basic knowledge of mechanics. * USCG 100 Ton license preferred but not required. Will hire a 25 or 50 Ton license. * Gaffing experience. * Strong work ethic and the ability to take instructions, complete tasks and apply constructive criticism. * Flexible schedule and the ability to work long hours. * Pre-employment drug screening. ***HIRING IMMEDIATELY!
