Witnesses Needed

Around 3:45 p.m. Sunday the 21st of August, an older White Jeep Cherokee drove up on the Red River side walk mowing down a cyclist. 2 witnesses claim they saw it come in turning left from 381/2st. The witnesses further claim the vehicle lost control and went into oncoming traffic headed south on Red River. I first saw the witnesses in traffic headed south on Red River waiting for the light at 38 1/2 street. The rider heard no squealing of brakes nothing until being struck by the vehicle. The White Jeep drove up a driveway entrance, then came off on the curb after it rammed the cyclist. The rider further claims the jeep did not appear to lose control, just drove off and supposedly turned right onto the first street after 38/12, believed to be 39th. When the rider went back to the scene of the vehicle assault, they noted other objects the Jeep avoided, namely a power line and trees... The rider declined medical treatment but wanted to file a police report. The police do not consider this an intended hit on cyclist, but cyclist not so sure. The police claim to have no video from any camera and no witnesses other than the ones who went out of their way to help the police. If you were playing golf or exercising around the Hancock Shopping Ctr you could be a witness. Any further info would be greatly appreciated.
