QUANTEM AVIATION IS HIRING SEASONAL MATERIAL HANDLER's AT NORFOLK, VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – ORF PAY: $17.17/hr. | TYPE: Part-Time/Seasonal | SHIFT: MON - FRI: 7:00PM - 3:00AM, SAT: 12:00 Mid-night - 6:00AM, SUN: 7:00PM - 11:00PM Apply at: Make an impact in the airline industry as a Material Handler. Material Handlers play a critical role in safely handling the mail; some of your responsibilities include: • Ensuring all Quantem and Customer’s safety standards are met and maintained • Properly and safely loads and unloads mail, including build up and break down of containers following guidelines • Protects mail from elements, damage and vandalism • Operates equipment safely • Identifies mail that does not meet USPS or QAS guidelines • Organizes mail within the warehouse according to the base storage plan • Obtains proper mail scanning for all destination • Cleans up work area during and at end of each shift • Performs other duties assigned by QAS management • Compliance with all applicable environmental laws and permits (Additional details available upon request and during interview process) BENEFITS • $300Employee Referral Program! (No Limit) • No Experience Needed – Paid Training Provided • Exciting Growth and Skill Development Opportunities • Take along Dental Plan • Employer Paid Life Insurance • Employee Discount Program QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS • Must be 18 years or older • High School Diploma or GED required • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license • Must pass all required pre-employment drug screening, background and clearance requirements, and successful completion of the required badging process • Warehouse environment, prior experience working in a warehouse is preferred • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently • Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to, in excess of 25/55 pounds • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Exposure to weather conditions prevalent at the time • Noise level in the work environment is excessive at times • Airport's are open 24/7/365 and so are we!
