Apply at: Benefits: • $300 Employee Referral Bonus (No limit on referrals) • Competitive wages • Paid Training • Medical / Dental / Vision / 401k • Employer paid Life Insurance • PTO • Company uniforms provided Overview: The Equipment Operator (waste water) will work as part of a team to provide superior service and stakeholder satisfaction through responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and preservation of equipment utilized for the purpose of tasks related to Glycol Recovery Vehicles and processing, while ensuring the well-being of self and all internal and external stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Follow established guidelines for equipment operation within close proximity to airfield personnel, aircraft and other airfield equipment without interfering with aircraft movement. Aircraft always have the right-of-way. • Routinely inspect de-icing surfaces and promptly collect spent ADP avoiding the risk of fluid escape; • Emulsify de-icing surfaces as directed; • Proper operation and maintenance of testing equipment; • Monitor glycol processing equipment units to assure optimum production and efficiency; • Maintain glycol processing equipment as per Inland’s maintenance manuals and SOP’s in order to perform any and all maintenance functions as directed by management; • Perform product quality testing and ensure accurate reporting and accounting; • Perform water quality testing and reporting in relation to SOP’s; • Compliance with all environmental laws and permits; • Perform quality assurance sampling of all production processes at regular intervals during shifts, by using correct sampling protocol as established by Inland SOP’s and to ensure that all samples are in compliance with all written company and Government rules and regulations; • Abide by Health and Safety principles by using issued and available safety equipment as required by SOP’s in the day-by-day operations of the facility; • Keep all Inland owned or managed equipment, tools and materials in good working condition; including keeping the aforementioned clean and in their assigned storage areas when not in use; • Complete timely repairs, such as replacing parts, blowers, plumbing new lines and re-plumbing old lines, installing valves, meters, sensors, etc.; • Work cooperatively with airport authority and outside contractor(s) while representing yourself in the best image for the company; • Escort non security badge holding personnel in accordance with airport written escorting procedures; • Ensure that the processing equipment and associated recycling equipment are continually inspected and maintained in proactive manner; • Perform truck transfer operations which include both loading and unloading of tankers, and transfers of fluid between tanks; • Assist in glycol recovery operations; • Diligently execute any and all other job related duties assigned by management. Required Skills and Experience: • Basic knowledge of aircraft and how they perform; • Waste water experience; • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; • Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively; • Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; • Ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle in inclement weather; • General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools; • Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude; • Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints. Certifications/Licenses: • The ability to continue to hold Transportation Security Clearance and a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC); • High school diploma or equivalent; • Valid Driver’s License; • Radio Operators license; • Driving record that meets Company insurance standards. Key Performance Indicators: • Health and Safety issues; • Timeframes met; • Teamwork and cooperation; • Relevant and helpful information submitted to Operations Manager. Work Environment: The position will be a combination between indoor office work and field work with exposure to prevalent weather conditions. Physical Demands: The position involves standing/walking for extended periods of time as well as bending, kneeling, climbing, using hands to control tools and feel objects, reaching with hands and arms. May be necessary to work at heights up to 12 feet. Security Clearance: • Must be able to pass a 10-year background check for airport security clearance; • Restricted area identity card; • Valid US Driver’s License. Other Duties: Other related duties assigned by management may occur when needed for operational requirements. Positions may be full-time or part-time and are mostly seasonal with increased hours probable between October 1 and April 30. Hours of work are weather-dependent and determined by operational requirements. Some employees may be employed casually/on-call. Please note: The compensation for this position is an hourly wage of $24.54 which includes fringe benefits ($18.00 Base plus $6.54 Fringe). The salary will be adjusted once the successful candidate is eligible for benefits. Flexibility is a requirement as the work schedule will vary.
