An Interior Design/Staging Company is seeking Part-Time and On-Call, movers/staging assistants to work out of our warehouse in Villa Park. The ideal candidate will be punctual, motivated, proactive, very detail-oriented, highly focused, able to listen carefully and follow directions precisely, polite, positive, calm and agreeable/even-tempered, physically fit to lift large pieces of furniture, & ready to focus on work while at work. Responsibilities include: Preparing furniture and accessories for a move by wrapping/packaging/assembly/disassembly Lifting and carrying furniture pieces onto/from moving truck Cleaning, dusting and vacuuming the staging area Keeping the warehouse tidy, clean, and organized Job Requirements: Arriving at work on time; reliable transportation to work in Villa Park is required. Proactively listen and carefully follow directions; ability to calmly receive ongoing feedback on how to do the work and implement instructions immediately. Ask instead of assuming. Proactively ask for the next task, rather than stand around. Focus on work at work, avoid non-work distractions (personal calls/texts, social media); extreme care in completing work and attention to detail. Physically fit to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. is standard, rarely up to 70 lbs.
