Description
Ironworker Job Summary & Duties:
1) Raise, place, and unite structural members to form completed Grandstands
2) Assemble hoisting equipment and rigging, such as cables, pulleys, and hooks, to move heavy equipment and materials.
3) Bolt-aligned structural-steel members in position for permanent riveting, bolting, or welding into place.
4) Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts, following blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
5) Drive drift pins through rivet holes in order to align rivet holes in structural-steel members with corresponding holes in previously placed members.
6) Fasten structural-steel members to hoist cables, using chains, cables, or rope.
7) Force structural-steel members into final positions, using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks, and hand tools.
8) Must be willing to work in differing weather conditions.
9) Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.
10) Be comfortable working from heights.
11) Be dependable and SAFETY FIRST at all times.
12) Wear proper safety gear.
*The project duration is 1 to 2 weeks and will start in mid September.
*Hourly Rate is dependent upon experience level.
