Foreman Job Description As a Foreman here at Foss, you will coordinate workers at job sites and oversee jobsite operations. Additionally, you will organize the schedule and tasks for your crew each day, ensure health and safety standards are observed, and that work is completed within deadlines. You will also work alongside your team to perform the necessary tasks of each project. Lastly, you will be required to work and act in accordance with our core values and lead on-site workers to do the same. Our Core Values: 1. Responsibilities: • Direct and supervise your working team for each project, daily. • Work alongside your team directly to finish project tasks. • Coordinate with Project Manager/Field Supervisor to ensure that necessary material, parts, and equipment are ordered and prepared for each day’s tasks. • Lead and coach your team members when opportunities for growth arise. • Perform periodic performance reviews of assigned personnel. • Maintain a positive on-site working environment. • Schedule and lead your team through weekly safety meetings and impose all safety standards. • Peacefully resolve any emerging problems and issues. • Keep accurate and thorough daily records of your time worked and detailed records of work performed, and materials used. • Communicate with the Field Supervisor/Project Manager regarding project status/issues, time estimates, and safety concerns to ensure that progress expectations are met. • Participate in weekly status and planning meetings for current and up-coming projects. • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner. Requirements: • High School diploma or equivalent qualification. • Minimum 2 years of industrial construction experience. • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience. • Experienced and knowledgeable of industrial construction and its related trades (welding, plumbing, carpentry, etc.). • Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use PPE. • Proven leadership capabilities – can take initiative on tasks, shoulder responsibilities, and work in a team setting. • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure honesty and maintain transparency. • Must be capable of functioning in a fast-paced demanding work environment. • Must have strong organizational and time-management skills. • Must be able to travel and possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation to and from job sites. • Must be able to work overtime as deemed necessary by supervisors or leaders. • Must be familiar with construction plans, specifications, submittals, shop drawings and requests for information (RFI’s). • Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, legs, and whole body for extended periods of time in various movements including but not limited to walking, standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, stooping, and handling of tools and materials.
