Concrete Laborer/Finisher Positions Available

Concrete Laborer The concrete laborer position is responsible for assisting in the construction of transmission and substation foundation construction projects, and general construction projects through assisting in the process of drilling, setting, pouring, and finishing foundations as required by the project. This position requires hands-on knowledge of setting up, pouring, and finishing concrete. Responsibilities: • Design, build, and set-up forms as required • Pour Concrete • Using rebar to reinforce the concrete • Spreading and smoothing concrete • Molding expansion joints and edges • Applying waterproofing and sealant as required to protect the concrete work • Maintain a safety culture through following all policies and procedures to achieve a goal of zero lost time and zero accidents annually • Willingness to work with others Activities: • Set, form & pour concrete based on plans and specifications • Troubleshoot issues that arise in the field with the foreman/supervisor • Exemplary quality of work • Ability to stay on task and communicate effectively • Ability to perform strenuous tasks with your hands • Ability to kneel, bend and lift heavy materials • Ability to measure accurately and read architectural plans and specifications • Follow instructions set forth by the Supervisor/Foreman ***The above responsibilities and activities are a position overview.
