Ready set R.E.S.E.TRedefining, Empowering, Strengthening, Educating & Transforming LeadershipThe Leadership Summit theme is Ready Set RESET: Redefining, Empowering, Strengthening, Educating & Transforming Leadership. With the effects of COVID-19 and the adaption of the “new norm” within the public sector, the Leadership Summit seeks to dig deeper into “Redefining Empowering, Strengthening, Educating and Transforming Leadership” The Leadership Summit is a one-day conference focused on the skills, team-building speakers discussing leadership strategies to encourage and guide our active and incoming public administrators. The Leadership Summit will focus on three areas: 1. Public Policy: This track will focus on the fundamentals of public policy from the perspective of an elected official, clerk of courts, and lobbying/advocacy. In addition, the track will discuss some of the difficult choices involved in identifying, addressing, and resolving public policy problems. Overall, workshops in this track are designed to help one think creatively and critically about public policy issues. 2. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI): This track provides a deeper dive into diversity, equity, and inclusion cultural challenges and planning within organizations, leadership, and the overall public sector. In addition, the track will discuss diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices, and opportunities as it relates to contexts of leadership, organizational culture, and the public sector. 3. Leadership Development: This track will focus on the process of identifying goals and learning new skills to help you grow and succeed professionally. There will be discussions in the areas of resume building, branding, skills development, and effective management. In addition, this track will focus on emerging leaders looking to sharpen their skills or individuals in transition from one position to another.
