The Jackson Street Jazz Walk commemorates the rich musical legacy of the Seattle Central District, where African American music icons such as Ernestine Anderson, Ray Charles, and Quincy Jones got their starts. This year the celebration kicks off with a Black & White Gala, featuring live music, dancing, hors d'oeuvres, and a no-host bar - followed by the 12-band, 7-stage Jackson Street Jazz Walk. Doors open at 5:30; music starts at 6:00pm. Gala LIVE music features award-winning singer/songwriter Eugenie Jones and the incomparable E. Pruitt & Maureese Itson Band.
