Times: 12 -12:55PM, 1-1:55 PM, 2:15-3:10 PM “Intro to Wire Wrapping” Duration: 55 minutes (< 1 hour) Ala Carte Entry Fee: $30 Series entry fee: $40 Skill level: Beginner (no prior experience required) Come join me at Karma Kards, located at 410 W Bakerview Rd suite 106, Bellingham, WA 98226. Session 1: Intro to wire-wrapping This class is meant for newcomers to wire wrapping, as no prior experience is necessary. Simply bring a desire to learn some basic techniques to begin your wire-wrapping journey. I will provide the tools, stones/beads, and copper wire. This is the 1st installment of a 5-part series. The next installment is "Making a Ring" (All classes may be taken individually, or the entire 5-part series can be booked in advance with a discount.) *** Wire Wrapping Class – Class #2/5 Tuesday, August 9th & Thursday, August 11th. Times: 12 -12:55PM, 1-1:55 PM, 2:15-3:10 PM "Making a Ring" Duration: 60 Minutes (1 hour) Ala Carte Entry Fee: $30 Series entry fee: $40 Skill level: Intermediate (some prior experience recommended) This is planned to be the second installment in a series of 5 classes. (All classes may be taken individually, or the entire 5-part series can be booked in advance with a discount.) ***Bring your own tools, or you may use a pair of community tools provided by me Session 2: Making a Ring This class is suitable for newcomers to wire wrapping, as no prior experience is necessary. Simply bring a desire to learn some basic techniques for making wire and bead finger rings. I will provide the tools, stones/beads, and copper wire. The next installment is "Jump Rings & Earrings " *** Wire Wrapping Class – Class #3/5 Tuesday, August 16th and Thursday, August 18th Times: 12-1:30 PM, 2-3:30 PM "Jump Rings & Earrings " Duration: 90 minutes (60-minutes instruction, followed by 30-minute freestyle) Ala Carte Entry Fee: $50 Series entry fee: $40 Skill level: Intermediate (some prior experience recommended) This is the third installment in a series of 5 classes. (All classes may be taken individually, or the entire 5-part series can be booked in advance with a discount.) ***Bring your own tools, or you may use a pair of community tools provided by me. Session 3: Jump rings & earrings. This class is intended for those who have taken sessions 1 & 2 – though truly anyone can participate. In this session we will explore creating jump rings, ear hooks, go over beading techniques, and “mirroring” a pair of earrings. You will leave this class with at least one pair of wearable earrings! Tip: A basic knowledge of bending wire with pliers is recommended for this class. The next installment is "Wrapping drilled stones." *** Wire Wrapping Class #4/5 - Tuesday, August 23rd and Thursday August 25th Times: 12-2 PM, 2:30-4:30 PM "Wrapping drilled stones" Duration: 120 minutes (2 hours) Ala Carte Entry Fee: $60.00 (includes two drilled stones to work with.) Session 4: Wrapping drilled stones This class is meant for those who have already attended sessions 1-3 in the 5 part series, though anyone is welcome to attend. Basic wire-wrapping skills are recommended, though the steps will be broken down so that even those with no experience may be able to follow along. In this session we will focus on creating a bale, as well as basic techniques to capture and wrap a stone or cabochon with at least one drilled hole. You will leave the class with at least one stone pendant. The next installment is "Wrapping undrilled stones – Tree of Life" *** Wire Wrapping Class#5/5 - Tuesday, September 6th and Thursday, September 8th Times: 12-2:30 PM, 3-5:30 PM Wrapping undrilled stones – Tree of Life Duration: 150 minutes (2.5 hours) Ala Carte Entry Fee: $75 (includes your choice of a stone to wrap) Series entry fee: $40 Skill level: Advanced (prior wire wrapping experience highly recommended) Come join me at Karma Kards, located at 410 W Bakerview Rd suite 106, Bellingham, WA 98226. Session 5: Wrapping undrilled stones – “Tree of Life” pattern This class is meant for individuals with prior wire-wrapping experience. The techniques are advanced, and you will learn how to capture an undrilled stone to be made into a Tree of Life pendant. You can bring your own stone cabochon, otherwise stones will be provided for you to select from. You will leave this class with your very own copper & stone Tree of Life (TOL) pendant!
