Supporting Hope Creek through this golf tournament, ensures we have sufficient funds to efficiently run our programs. The Mill Creek Community Food Bank provides supplemental food staples for over 500 families each week in our community. This program reaches the poorest in our community, including newly relocated refugees fleeing war, and those struggling to make ends meet. We are here to ensure those in our community have access to necessary food. With funds given to this program, we purchase perishable food bank items to give to our customers. These include fresh milk, eggs, and meat. The Backpacks of Hope program supplies over 300 children with a bag of food to take home each weekend. These students have been identified by public school counselors of not having food security at home. We package nutritious, light weight, and kid-friendly food, and ensure that the schools have enough for those that need it. Donated finances ensure we are able to pack food these kids will enjoy, can carry home in their backpack, and is nutritious to their growing minds and bodies. Coming to school with a full belly each week, ensures they can focus better on their studies. For just $10, we are able to feed an individual for an entire year.
