UMEA is hosting a 10-hour training on OSHA's (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) safety awareness education for minority contractors. This training is essential in order to work on construction projects. UMEA Member Otis Jennings, President of Empire State Association of Minority Contractors and Owner of Jennings Construction LLC will provide instructional training. Jennings Construction Services LLC, is owned and run by Ronald Otis Jennings. This company provides a wide variety of services in the construction field. Jennings is a certified MBE by the City of Syracuse, New York State, and a DBE by the Federal Government. Otis Jennings is a certified OSHA Instructor through Rochester Institute of Technology and the United States Department of Labor. He provides 10 & 30 hours of safety training required by NYS and the Federal Government to work on government construction project. Jennings is an Administrator and Master Trainer for the National Center for Construction, Education, and Research. He has conducted business in NYS since 2007. Prior to creating his business, he served as a Commissioner of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs, where he has overseen and managed several Parks construction projects.
