RJV Construction Corporation is a leading underground utility contractor, specializing in water and sewer improvements. RJV Construction is looking for a full-time diesel motor mechanic to work on our fleet of dump trucks and heavy equipment, including loaders, back hoes, excavators, and more. If you are an experienced diesel mechanic with a CDL license, don’t hesitate to apply! Responsibilities: • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on RJV’s fleet of light and heavy trucks and heavy equipment • Repairs and PMs on loaders, back hoes, excavators, vacuum excavation equipment, etc. • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other systems to ensure they are in working order • Inspect and repair hydraulic and electrical systems on vehicles and equipment • Use scanning tools and equipment to diagnose any mechanical issues • Perform scheduled routine maintenance on all trucks and equipment • Travel to construction job sites as needed to perform onsite maintenance and repairs • Stock service truck with necessary parts and fluids for daily maintenance and repairs • Receive and complete all work orders in a timely manner • Order new parts and materials • Assist other mechanics and welders when needed to ensure that all work is completed Qualifications: • Minimum of 10 years of experience working on heavy equipment and commercial vehicles • Active CDL License required; Class A preferred • Completed OSHA-10 training • Knowledge of light and heavy trucks and heavy equipment, including Mack, Peterbilt, Komatsu, and Volvo • Comfortable using scan tools and equipment to diagnose vehicle and equipment problems • Capable of diagnosing and repairing problems with electrical and hydraulic systems • Welding and fabricating skills • Able and willing to travel to construction sites as needed to perform repairs • Must have own tools RJV Construction Corporation is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
