RJV Construction Corporation is a leading underground utility contractor, specializing in water and sewer improvements. RJV Construction is looking for a Class A Driver to drive and maintain a tri-axle towing trailer on one of our pipe crews. If you are highly organized, deadline driven, and team focused, RJV can provide an excellent opportunity to work on major contracts in the Boston area. Please note that this is a full time, benefits eligible position that typically runs 9 – 10 months out of the year. Responsibilities • Drive and maintain tri-axle towing trailer • Perform daily Inspections of brakes, steering column, lights, and mirrors prior to each leg of journey • Perform minor roadside repairs • Load and unload truck and/or trailer, using chains/binders to secure cargo, checking stability throughout trips • Inspect trailers before and after loading, monitoring air lines and jack positions, adjusting them as necessary • Contribute to company data by honestly recording times of job site arrival and hours worked • Adhere to traffic safety regulations and exercise caution in treacherous circumstances • Report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities • Use GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate with supervisors and colleagues • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, including wash, wax, and dust-free interior • Assist in unloading equipment and materials at job site • Job site responsibilities: cut pipe, rig loads, move machinery, operate hand tools, and maintain tidy work area Qualifications • Possess a minimum of five years’ experience driving Class B or A vehicles • Must be able to show proof of clean driving record • 2A hydraulics license is preferred • Completed OSHA-10 training preferred • Experience in the water and sewer industry is preferred • Enthusiasm for our projects and desire to contribute to high-quality, on-time completion RJV Construction Corporation is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
