La Voz is the Hispanic/ Latinx Law Student Association at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law. Our primary focus is to empower and promote the success of law students with backgrounds that are not traditionally represented in the legal profession. We are most known for the Huellas mentorship program. Huellas, “Footprints” in Spanish, is a nationally recognized and award-winning mentorship program that pairs high school students, undergraduate students, and law students with local Nevada attorneys from across different areas of practice. Huellas provides students with support and opportunities to learn about the legal profession. Through Huellas, La Voz works to increase diversity in the legal profession.
