Please feel free to come out and celebrate Wecare2Agency's 2nd annual run/walk at Garfield Park on September 10th. Make sure you gather up a team and select a color t-shirt of your choice! We will be accepting nominations for those who are breast cancer survivors or currently have breast cancer. You can nominate a loved one by contacting 773-403-7420. Please make sure to nominate your loved one by September 1st. At the end of the event, there will be a special gift given to them. We will be located at the Garfield Park’s Gold Dome field house. Registration starts at 9 am and the event begins at 10 am. Light snacks and beverages will be provided prior to the event and a small snack will be served afterward. We are also accepting donations for the event. All donations are appreciated and will go towards Wecare2Agency's community engagement events and towards resources that help current breast cancer patients. You can donate by Zelle (773-403-7420), Cash App ($Wecare2agencyjohnson), or upon arrival. This company was created by a breast cancer survivor, Kenya Johnson-Brown. She wanted to bring awareness to breast cancer, its detection, the treatment, and the need for a reliable and permanent cure. One of her biggest challenges while having breast cancer was walking. Some days she would struggle and only could take four steps without feeling overwhelmed.
