The Iowa Energy Code Consultant program provides free, individually tailored residential energy code assistance, training, and education to homebuilders, code officials, design professionals, subcontractors, supply houses, energy raters, designers and other stakeholders working in residential construction and across the state of Iowa. The goal of this work is to improve compliance with the Iowa State Residential Energy Code through an improved understanding of code requirements, best practices, and building science.
