Description

We are currently planning this year’s West Texas Panhandle Emergency Nurses Association Trauma Symposium. We are collaborating with the RAC and Amarillo Fire Department to utilize the Mobile Medical Unit and AMBUS resources into our curriculum to focus on disaster management. We have secured the North Exhibit Hall to house the RAC units, AFD units, and vendors and the Heritage Hall for the lectures and catering. The symposium will be Friday, October 14th, 2022. Our speaker lineup this year includes Dr. Griswold for burn management, Dr. Nazim for trauma management, Dr. Rose for head trauma management, LIFESTAR High Risk OB team for maternal trauma, and the Amarillo Fire Department Chaplains on mental health and PTSD. As with years past, Amarillo College will be providing CEs for Nurses, EMS, and Respiratory Therapists. *New this year— Amarillo College will be providing 8 hours of TCOLE Credit for law enforcement attendees*. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The cost this year is $125. Deadline for early enrollment is September 15th so that we can order food, attendee handouts, etc. Seating will be limited so any registration submitted after September 15th will be contingent on availability. We are excited to see everyone!
