Meet Nova (aka Exploding Star!) She just turned 1 year old on the 25th of July, has been spayed and is up to date on all of her vaccinations. Nova comes from a litter of 10, her father is an AKC certified Golden Retriever and her mother is a brindle American Staffordshire Terrier. She loves people, is super friendly with other dogs, has grown up around young children, but has been the only pet - meaning she would need careful introductions to any other smaller, furry members of the household. She does appear to have a prey-drive in regard to bunnies and birds! Cats fascinate her but she has never showed any aggression during any of her encounters with the strays in the neighborhood, however I will emphasize that any introductions be done so carefully as she has demonstrated a prey drive with other smaller animals. She loves to run, fetch, play tug-o-war, is highly treat driven, is house broken, kennel trained, knows a lot of her commands, and allows us to both brush her teeth and trim her nails! Nova is a very high energy dog and requires adequate mental stimulation and exercise to keep her happy. She still needs more work in regard to not pulling on the leash as well as her recall, but she shows improvement with every training session. An ideal home for her would have adequate space for her to safely get her energy out with a game of fetch or some zoomies. We will be requiring a rehoming fee.
