A Swizzle Affair is brought to you by the Mississippi Hospitality & Restaurant Association and the Mississippi Restaurant Association Education Foundation (MRAEF), and sponsored by Cathead Distillery and Southern Beverage. Hometown bartenders will compete against each other with their signature cocktails, allowing ticketed guests to sample their drinks. Local restaurants will also be in attendance to provide tastes of their favorite dishes. All proceeds from A Swizzle Affair will go to the MRAEF to fund Mississippi ProStart. ProStart is a two year high school program that teaches kids culinary and restaurant management skills and prepares them to enter the restaurant and hospitality industry. The MRAEF and the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation both award scholarships to ProStart students and provide numerous opportunities for further education and connections to industry professionals.
