October Full Moon Ritual Just like a perfect pumpkin ripe for carving, the October full moon is known as the Hunter's Moon or Blood Moon. This is a prime opportunity to ready ourselves for the upcoming holiday, Samhain (or Halloween) on the 31st. Aligning with the celebration of Halloween and Samhain, October is a great time to honor loved ones who have passed on before us. Samhain serves as the pagan New Year and is also a great time to attend to our spiritual and physical house cleaning by getting rid of what doesn't serve us in the coming year. This includes our bad habits or clutter in our homes.
