Evening Event Schedule5:00 - Welcome and Introductions with Steve Mariash, DPM 5:05 - Is Total Ankle Replacement a Reasonable Option? | Steve Mariash, DPM Dr. Mariash will discuss the evolution of total ankle replacement and review the indications and contraindications for the procedure. He has practiced in St. Cloud since 1993. In his 24 years with our practice, he has specialized in medicine and surgery of the foot and ankle. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Foot and Ankle Foundation in Seattle, Washington and a faculty member of the Podiatry Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a consultant for Exactech. 5:35 - Modern Joint Replacement | Andy Mulder, MD Dr. Mulder will review the elements of contemporary joint replacement which will include navigation, robotics, and outpatient surgery. He has been with our group for 9 years and focuses on hip and knee care, utilizing minimally-invasive muscle-sparing techniques, computer navigation, and robotic assistance when appropriate. 6:05 - Hip Pain and Femoroacetabular Impingement in the Athletic Population | Jon Erickson, MD Dr. Erickson will cover this common cause of intra-articular hip pathology that may affect young athletes. He joined our practice in 2022 and completed his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in 2021. 6:35 - Q & A and Dinner Break 7:00 - Peripheral Nerve Compression | Madelyn Lauer, MD Dr. Lauer will explore the background and options for early workup and treatment of peripheral nerve compression. She completed her orthopedic hand fellowship at the University of Iowa and has been with our group since 2021 7:30 - Pediatric Elbow Injuries: Fracture or Physis | Paul Meirick, MD Dr. Meirick will give an overview of the evaluation of the injured pediatric elbow. He has been with our practice since 2019 and focuses on non-operative care for acute sports or activity-related injuries (sprains, strains, and fractures), as well as, chronic medical conditions (joint pain and arthritis). 8:00 - Fall Prevention | Sig Feierabend, MD Dr. Feierabend will present this challenging topic which affects many of our patients. He completed his orthopedic residency in 2016 and joined our group in 2022. His interests include adult reconstruction and general orthopedics. 8:30 - Q & A 8:50 - Closing Remarks from Mitch Kuhl, DO Dr. Kuhl has served as president of St. Cloud Orthopedics since 2014. In his 15 years with our practice, he has specialized in trauma and fracture care. He is an independent consultant for Stryker Orthopedics.
