Slow Roll- Family Day Edition hosted by the Urban League signals as last call for Summer Excursions on the Northside! We will explore the tree-lined canopy of North Minneapolis. North Commons, Theodore Wirth, the River and Beyond!Slow Roll is in full effect to change the narrative of North! We will meet at UROC and explore the golden triangle from North Commons to the River the Theodore Wirth Parkway and back to the North Commons. We rollout From UROC at 2001 Plymouth Ave, as the epicenter of the radius of wellbeing that eminates from UROC and NorthPoint.There will be a Free Bike Clinic at 9:45 for those that want to learn the basics.- We meet up at 9:30 am for a meet & greet registration and bike tune-ups. If you are borrowing a bike please arrive before 9:30 am- At 10:00 am (promptly)we roll out on a conversationally paced ride appropriate for all skill levels, and all kinds of bikes. We will feature the Northside Businesses, Community Art, new potential connections to friends and family, and finish with a meal provided by the Urban League at one the community vendor of your choice in the food court. You must ride to get a meal ticket. All ages above 1ox xSlow Roll is a group bicycle ride that meets weekly (with some limited exceptions and special events) in the Twin Cities. It is part of a national network of community rides that started in Detroit. Each week we meet at different venues and take a unique route through the city, including all the major and minor neighborhoods that we are so proud of but may be underrepresented in the cycling conversation or the home of historically oppressed communities.SLOW ROLL IS FOR EVERYONE!
