The City of Mercer Island is looking for a Water Meter Project Team Member to join our Public Works Team! The Water Meter Project Team Member will focus on the AMI Meter Replacement Project which is scheduled to be completed by August 2024. This work includes preparing each meter box for replacement of the new water meter and radio equipment, clearing vegetation and debris from around meter boxes, cleaning dirt and debris out of each box, and adjusting existing equipment and boxes to accommodate the new meters. The position will Identify and coordinate minor repairs of existing meter equipment with Water Foreman and Distribution Crew. This position will work directly with the city’s inspector and project manager, along with the vendors installation crews.
