Description

Join us at the 2022 Pittsburgh Urban Farm Tour! This self-guided tour gives participants the opportunity to get to know our urban farm sites and demonstrates the vital work they do: teaching community members how to grow food, remediating pollution, ensuring access to fresh local food, and converting disinvested areas into productive and safe green spaces. Urban farms have a significant impact on our food system, local economy, and urban environment so we want to ensure the farmers who manage these plots have access to the resources and capital they need to be successful. Funds from the 2022 Farm Tour will support participating sites and the Urban Growers Scholarship Fund. The Farm Tour is a fundraiser with sliding-scale tickets. Please give as generously as you can and choose the ticket option that is best for you. Children under 5 are free! Proceeds will benefit the Urban Growers Scholarship Fund. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please email [email protected] to request a free ticket! This is a self-guided tour. The following farms will have open hours during which you can visit — plan ahead to make sure you can hit as many sites as possible! More info (including the possible addition of more farm sites!) will be made available soon. Attendees will be emailed an informational booklet and interactive map closer to the date to help with planning your route.
