Dear NAACP Supporter: This year will mark the eighty-first year of leadership by the Jackson County Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in its effort to secure full rights for all Americans. We have chosen the theme, “Fighting Forward” for this year’s Annual Freedom Fund Banquet Celebration. We find no greater initiative than the need to bring our entire community together to fight against the injustice and inequalities that continue to be ongoing in the areas of Employment, Housing, Education and Prison Reform. "If we do not maintain justice, justice will not maintain us." -Francis Bacon. To celebrate our 81st Anniversary, our Annual Freedom Fund Banquet has been scheduled for Sunday, October 9th, 2022. It will be held at the Martin Luther King Center, 1107 Adrian Street,, Jackson, Michigan. Starting at 5:00pm promptly. As we continue to make plans for this prestigious occasion, we sincerely hope that you will respond positively, and will be able to participate and sponsor this event as soon as it is practical. Because of wonderful support of businesses and organizations like yours, we are able to reach out to our community with events such as: ● Scholarships gifted by the Harold White Scholarship Fund. ● Community Awards to Citizens doing good will in our community ● Monetary Gifts for Essays written by area students honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ● Community Forums, Informational Gatherings, and Community Support ● Juneteenth Celebrations and Jackson Chamber of Commerce Partnerships These are just a few events that have all been made possible because of your support. Please enable it to continue. Purchasing a ticket to the Freedom Fund Banquet also includes an individual Membership to the Branch for one year from the date of the banquet..
