Adopt/Rehome: 9 year old dog in need of a home

Hello! A family member is moving out of the country and needs help re-homing their dog. 9 year old Ellie is a sweet cuddly angel who loves people. she was rescued from a shelter 7 years ago. she is about 55 pounds & at her max size. Her breed is listed as black mouth cur & hound mix. Over the years, she has received annual routine vet checks, vaccines, flea meds etc. she is good with people and babies/kids! Unfortunately she doesn't care much for other dogs, will not engage in play nor will she approach them on walks or dog parks. she has had a few neighborhood dog friends that she likes saying hi to but generally she is unbothered and cares more about looking for squirrels. however, when she is approached she does get anxious, mainly around bigger dogs. she would do best as the only pet. We would ideally love to see her go to a home where she can continue to live her best life, but are also open to someone fostering her while we search for a more permanent home.
