Position Title: Material Handler/Forklift – 2nd Shift Wage: $18.15 per hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:00pm-11:00pm; 5:00pm-5:00am (2-2-3 schedule) Join a leading global manufacturer of branded and custom food products that proudly helps food providers in the U.S., Canada and more than 60 other countries earn a special place on consumers’ tables with this Material Handler/Forklift position. They do this by continually crafting custom dressings, sauces, mayonnaises, and other food solutions that exceed peoples’ expectations for great-tasting flavors and high-quality ingredients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Unload product and/or ingredients from trucks using inbound bill of lading, while verifying product and quantities listed on the B.O.L. - Pick, stage and load finished goods on trailers to fulfill customer orders accurately. - Movement and storage of materials and finished goods throughout the facility. - Assure proper paperwork and scans are completed on all product and material movements. - Operate stretch wrapper machine. - Complete inbound / outbound trailer inspection form for each trailer. - Working knowledge of RF scanning system & receiving functions to do inventory movements in the warehouse areas. - Follow all GMP, Safety, Sanitation, Personnel, & Security policies and procedures as required. - Other duties as assigned. - Safe, timely, and efficient execution of all assigned duties. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent experience. - Minimum 2 years' experience in a warehouse/distribution environment. - Previously licensed/certified as a forklift driver on a sit-down and/or stand-up forklift is required. - Must be able to communicate with line personnel in a manufacturing high noise environment. - Must be able to operate a lift safely under various conditions of traffic and pedestrians in populated areas. - Must have good visual and listening abilities. - Must be able to communicate through two-way radio with other equipment operators under high and low noise conditions. - Must be able to use electric pallet jack safely in a heavy populated area and provide line with product wearing eye and hearing protection. - Must be able to pass skills test & written test for license/certification for sit-down and/or stand-up forklift. - Must have excellent math skills. - Computer literate - preferably AS400 experience. - Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
