Canvasworks, Inc is hiring entry level sewing machine operators! We will train applicants in the skills necessary to operate various industrial sewing machines. Home machine experience is a plus but not required. We are an established company in Cokato, MN, specializing in the outdoor sports industry with both consumer direct and OEM sales. Our products include custom boat covers, SnoCaps Trailer Enclosures, Dogs-Up Ramps, awnings, and many other products involving fabric and aluminum. Duties Include: • Completing the sewing machine operator training. • Maintaining a clean and organized work area. • General light cleaning, same expectations as all other employees. • Other duties throughout the shop as needed. Skills: • Attention to detail. • Accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools. • Safely and accurately use common hand and power tools. Competencies: • The willingness to learn new skills. • Strong communication skills, especially regarding questions or problems with assigned jobs or expected work. • Ability to work independently. • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • The desire to create exceptional products.
