Description

We are looking for skilled Welders to cut and join metals and other materials. You will operate appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Responsibilities *Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures *Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method base on requirements *Set up components for welding according to specifications *Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts the must be welded *Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces *Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions *Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps *Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws *Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Skills *Proven experience as welder *Must be able to operate welding torch, weld materials, and fit parts for welding *Strong knowledge of TIG and MIG welding processes. *Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.) *Ability to perform difficult and repetitive tasks in a variety of uncomfortable work environments and adverse weather conditions. *Ability to follow the company, state, and federal safety regulations. This includes wearing proper protective equipment and keeping work areas clean and well organized.
