Electric Meter Installer Professional Meters, Inc. (PMI) is a nationwide meter installation company looking for electric meter installers for our current project in Utah. We are currently working in the American Fork and surrounding areas and throughout the state. PMI is searching for self-motivated individuals who have a great work ethic, can work well with little supervision, and maintain a rigorous work schedule. Individuals must interact professionally with all customers, public utility employees, as well as other PMI employees. Knowledge of basic electricity is helpful, using an Apple iPhone is a must. PMI will provide all training, including basic electrical training, and operation of field equipment. PMI will provide a work vehicle, fuel, and all tools needed to perform the assigned work. Responsibilities: Remove existing electric meter at account premise and install a new meter. Collect and validate installation data using an application on a handheld device (iPhone). Complete all work to job specifications. Treat all customers and their property with respect. Keep assigned vehicle clean and in good working order, be responsible for safety and security of all tools and equipment assigned to you. Obey all traffic laws. Requirements: Possess High School diploma, GED, or have equivalent work experience. Must be willing and able to work outdoors - in all types of weather. Must have valid Driver's License with clean driving record for the last 5 years. Must be dependable, detail oriented, have good verbal skill, and a neat/clean appearance. Must have the ability to use assigned tools properly and work within safety guidelines. Must be comfortable interacting with customers and be quality oriented. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Paid weekly, starting pay is hourly and after 3-4 weeks you may be moved up to piece rate work (paid per meter installed).
