Vernick Smith will be leading a Group therapy session on Healing Generational Trauma from 3pm-4pm First and Foremost thank you to the Philadelphia Office of Violence prevention, this event is funded by the TCIG grant funded by the Office of Violence prevention. THIS IS A FREE EVENT!!! THIS EVENTBRITE LINK ONLY SERVES AS A WAY TO COLLECT RSVPS We are asking our community to come out to 53rd and Media right across the street from One Art Community Center, and Mastery Charter School on September 11th 2022, from 1pm-6pm to join us for a communal day of joy and healing! We are cultivating a day that is centered on mental wellness and communal healing. We as a community recognize the need to heal. We hope through this event we can give to our community the resources needed to begin both an individual and collective journey towards healing and eventually liberation. - We will be giving away 30 free talk therapy sessions as well as 5 free group sessions with topics ranging from how to find and begin therapy to healing generational trauma. - There will also be Herbal Workshops led by the Lavender Room on how herbs can be used to facilitate healing - A Grounding and Meditation workshops led by Barefoot Bella to teach how we can learn to center ourselves. - An array of both Holistic and non-holistic vendors - A Basketball Tournament (please email [email protected] with name of team, team members and age to sigh up; no one under 16; and no later than SEPTEMBER 1ST) - An Artist Showcase with a $200 grand prize (Please send all art submissions to [email protected] no later than September 1st) - Free Food - Much More - We hope to see you on the 11th!
