Looking for help with home recording

Description

I’m looking for help from someone who knows how to produce quality home recordings. I’ve got a good PC, 2 DAWSs (Studio One 5 & Reaper), a Focusrite interface, and a plethora of plugins. I’ve been messing around with this stuff for going on a couple years now off and on, more seriously in the past year or so. I’ve learned quite a bit from just trial/error and research, but I still can’t seem to figure out how to get a good sounding recording that I’d be happy to put out. I can come up with guitar riffs that sound good to my ears when I write them, but once I try to record them in my DAW, add drums, bass, and everything else it ends up just sounding weird and “off”. I’ve been floundering with this for a while now, apparently I’m just missing some important pieces of the puzzle. I’m at the point where I’m ready to opt for the “phone a friend option” and just get someone who knows about this stuff to show me how it’s done. I see all these guitar youtube channels where the content creators are recording the audio through their DAWs and seem to produce what I would consider close to pro-level sounding stuff, or at least a quality I would be happy with for now. I’m willing to pay money for the teaching, but I don’t have a crazy amount to work with. It would have to be reasonable. I would prefer in-person teaching, I can drive to your place/studio, or you’re welcome to drive to mine. Thanks to all who reply. Looking forward to hearing from you!
