This is a two part session, PLEASE sign up for this class only if you can attend both sessions. First session is Sunday 9/25 and second session is Sunday 10/30. Both sessions will be 1:30-3:30 at The Perk Downtown. They serve food, baked goods, coffee and tea along with mimosas! You are encouraged to order and support this business while we enjoy their space. Enter into the magical world of creating own crochet projects! In this class, I introduce you to the crochet world walking you through the basics with step-by-step instructions and hands on guidance in a small group setting. What You Will Learn in our first and second sessions: What is crochet and what tools are usedHow to hold your crochet hook and yarnHow to make a slip knot and crochet the basic chainsHow to crochet basic stitches (Single crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet)How to finish off your projectHow to crochet a beginner-friendly project such as dishcloth, scarf or beanie (exact project TBD)Why you should take this class: This class will show you how to master the basics without overwhelming you with unnecessary information so you'll be able to create your first project in no time!What is included in this class: 4 hours total of crochet instruction broken up into two separate sessions on the last Sunday of September and October 1:30-2:30pm at The Perk Downtownall materials needed to create your first project plus extra yarn to practice slip knots, basic chains and stitchessmall notions kit (tape measure, tapestry needle, scissors and stitch markers) in a convenient carrying caseFeel free to bring a pen and notebook so you can take notes as class is taught. All other supplies needed for class will be provided. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to order food/drink and be settled in as class will begin promptly at 1:30pm. Expect to receive an email from me upon registration as I want to determine your favorite colors so I can provide yarn that you love. This will be a structured but also relaxed class taught in a small and comfortable group setting, all are welcome ages 16+. If you are an absolute beginner with no previous crocheting experience, this class is for you!
