Colonel (R) Drennan was born May 23rd, 1930, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, son of the late Matthew Christopher and Marie Katherine (Sommers) Drennan. James was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Aileen Marie (Stretch) Drennan. He is survived by four children: Mark Christopher Drennan of Thurman, Ohio, Mary Eileen (Drennan) White, married to Thomas Edward White of Fort Mill, South Carolina. Martha Jean Drennan of Gainesville, Virginia. Monica Jane (Drennan) Brown, married to Paul Anthony (Tony) Brown of Great Falls, Virginia. He is survived by seven grandchildren: Heather Marie White, married to Christopher Scott Champe of Charleston, West Virginia. Maj Jay Stephen White, of Woodbridge, Virginia. James Anthony (Jake) Brown, MD of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mark Ellis Brown of Bangkok, Thailand. Henry Drennan (Hank) Brown of Great Falls, Virginia. OC Andrew Nelson White, married to Phylisha Kiara (Mace) White of Columbia, South Carolina. Daniel James White of Columbia, South Carolina. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren: great-grandson Tristan Scott Champe of Charleston, West Virginia, and great-granddaughter Saoirse Clementine White of Columbia, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the House of Mercy, 8170 Flannery Court, Manassas, Virginia, 20109 in loving memory of James Henry Drennan.
