WHAT TO EXPECT: Movie screening, live music, limited edition Ukrainian post stamp ruffle, drinks and bites, meet and greet with the designer and creative team behind production, entertainment for the kids and a lot of effort to raise funds for the humanitarian effort in Ukraine. All profits from this event and our capsule collection sales will be donated to Hearts for Ukraine, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives by delivering critical supplies directly to hospitals, shelters, schools, orphanages, nursing homes, refugee support centers of Ukraine. Can't make it to the event? Capsule collection preorder will be available starting 8/15! LOCATION: epic rooftop at the ROW DTLA, exact location details will be sent to confirmed guests prior to the event. ABOUT "LIGHT ALWAYS WINS": Through recent events in Ukraine we felt lost and frustrated, unable to explain to ourselves and our kids the reason behind hatred, aggression and chaos around us. We thought kids might have some answers for us as they often see things from a fresh, innocent perspective. We made a short documentary with kids' perspective on conflict resolution, inclusion, and acceptance which turned out to be much more explicit than anything we could teach them. We wanted to give kids a voice and opportunity to be heard and learned from. We’re hoping this project would encourage us to listen more to our own inner child, accept and listen to the other, whether they’re on another side of the border or on the other side of the political spectrum, from a different culture or a different class, race or personal identity. Kids' point of view gives us hope and we’re hoping to share it and spread that feeling. A feeling that light will win at the end. Because it always does.
