With your decision to breastfeed your child, comes our support and education to make your feeding choice an easy one. Research shows that breastfeeding provides many health benefits for you and your baby. Our Breastfeeding class introduces the basics of breastfeeding and prepares expectant parents for a healthy breastfeeding relationship with their baby.We’ll go over:— Advantages of breastfeeding— Nutritional needs for mother and baby— Breastfeeding techniques such as latching, bottle use and breast pumping— Returning to work while breastfeeding— Common facts and myths about breastfeeding— Baby doll or stuffed animal for practice purposes (optional)****IMPORTANT INFORMATION***Everyone who attends in-person events at Lenox Hill Hospital is required to be completed vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. You will be asked to show proof of vaccination status when entering the building. You may show a COVID-19 vaccination card, picture of a vaccine card, Excelsior Pass, or another COVID Safe appRegistrants must attend on scheduled date to receive a copy of the Breastfeeding book with their registration.Please Note: Cancellation Refunds are available upon written notice to [email protected] no less than 24 hours PRIOR to the class time. Cancellations are subject to a reduced rate by $10.00 due to incurred cost for the copy of the Breastfeeding book.
