Please join 99 Bottles and Sommelier Joshua Voytek as we explore the world of wine!
We are getting back into wine classes again by exploring Washington State and some great examples of the quality red wines that are being produced there. While California tends to get more attention in terms of US red wines, Washington State is really coming into its own in terms of wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah in particular, although other Bordeaux varietals like Malbec and Cabernet Franc, and Rhone/Spanish varietals like Tempranillo and Grenache are also showing a lot of promise. In addition, there will be on opportunity to try a couple wines from Sleight of Hand Cellars in Walla Walla that are carried in town exclusively at 99 bottles! If you are a fan of red wines, come for a great introduction to stellar wines from the second largest wine producing state.
