Our all-day program celebrating independently published comic book authors features 10 local comic book creators who will be displaying and selling their work, as well as the following activities: 10am: Meet the artists. Children's craft table and coloring table. 11am: "Sketch Duels- Battle of the Creators" Artists will draw their interpretations of randomly selected comic book character, and the audience chooses a winner. Watch the artists at work! 1pm: "Introduction to Making Comics" panel by Kris Mehaffey of The Muse Writers Center. Learn how to create your own comics, ask questions, and get answers from the pros. 2pm: "How to Create Your Own Podcast" panel with local "Do You Speak Geek?" podcaster Nix. Free raffle drawing for the chance to win a one-on-one podcasting instruction session with Nix! 3pm: "The Ultimate Geek Trivia" with prizes!
